A word from our patron

Engineering is one of the most powerful tools we have for solving the challenges facing our communities - from access to clean water to resilient infrastructure to sustainable environmental management. As a lecturer in this department, I have had the privilege of watching young engineers grow from curious students into capable professionals ready to take on these challenges.

My hope, as Patron, is to support the department in building an even stronger foundation for the next generation of civil and environmental engineers. This means encouraging academic excellence, fostering innovation, and connecting our students and alumni with opportunities to apply their skills in ways that make a real difference.

I look forward to working alongside faculty, students, and alumni to strengthen this department and its impact - both here at UENR and beyond.
